400 Gms Ladies fingers / Bhindi / Okra
1 No Onion finely chopped( Large)
1 Sprig Curry Leaf
1.5 Cup Yogurt dahi
3 No Green Chilli / Chili pepper
1 Tablespoon Ginger Paste
0.5 Teaspoon Black Pepper
1 Tablespoon Gram flour / Besan Besan
2 no Red Chilli Broken into two pieces
1 teaspoon Cumin Seed / Jeera
1 tablespoon Coriander Powder dhania powder
0.25 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
To taste Salt
3 Tablespoon Oil
0.5 Cup Water

Dahi Bhindi is one of easiest recipes. Okra/bhindi/Ladies finger is a versatile veggies ever. Simply make okra curries with gravy and it still tastes scrumptious!

Note :
If possible, wash the bhindi in advance and dry it at least 1-hours before making the recipe to remove excess moisture.

Wash and dry the bhindi and cut the stem and the tip.

Trim off the head and tail of the bhindi. chop the bhindi in 1 inch pieces. keep aside the chopped bhindi.
Onion finely chopped.

30 mins

Heat a pan and dry roast gram flour/besan till it gives roasted aroma and keep aside to cool.Keep it in a side.

Now mix the ginger and Black pepper powder and gram flour/besan in yogurt.Mix well

Heat the 2 tbsp oil in a pan. add the chopped bhindi and salt saute for at least 8-10 minutes on a low flame till they change color and are cooked.

Heat oil in a pan and add Onion , dry red chillies,cumin seeds and ginger paste.Let it splutter till the onions caramelize or turn golden.

Add green chillies,coriander powder,turmeric powder and mix well.

Add bhindi abd then yogurt mix .Cook on medium flame stirring continuously.If required add water.
Mix well and cook for 10 minutes .

Serve hot
