Marinade
1 Cup Yogurt
2 Tablespoon Lime/Lime juice/Lemon
2 Teaspoon Cumin Seed / Jeera Ground
2 Teaspoon Red pepper Ground
2 Teaspoon Black Pepper Ground
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Inch Ginger
7 No Bamboo Skewer 6 TO 7 inch long
Sauce / Gravy
1 Tablespoon Butter Unsalted butter
3 No Garlic Minced
1 No Green Chilli / Chili pepper Minced
2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder Ground
1 Teaspoon Cumin seeds powder / Jeera powder
1 Teaspoon Paprika
1 Teaspoon Garam Masala From Indian market
To taste Salt
1 No Tomato Latge Size, puree
1 Cup Whipped Cream Cream
.25 Cup Coriander leaf

Chicken tikka masala is a dish of roasted chunks of chicken tikka in a spicy sauce. The sauce is usually creamy, spiced and orange-coloured. It has been claimed to have originated in Glasgow and is among the UK’s most popular dishes, leading a government minister, Robin Cook, to claim in 2001 that it was a British national dish.

The origin of the dish is disputed. One explanation is that it originated in an Indian restaurant in the United Kingdom,but probably from the British Bangladeshi community which ran most Indian restaurants in Britain.

For Marinade

Soak bamboo skewers in water.

Thread chicken on skewers, and marinate (in the refrigerator) for an hour or so.

Discard marinade.

For Sauce

Bake the marinade chicken for 8 minutes, basting with margarine twice.

Drain excess marinade and bake for another 2 minutes.

Melt butter on medium heat.

Add garlic & green chilli; cook 1 minute.

Stir in coriander, cumin, paprika, garam masala & salt.

Stir in tomato puree.

Simmer 15 minutes.

Stir in cream; simmer to thicken- about 5 minutes.

Grill or broil chicken, turning occasionally, to cook through- about 8 minutes.

Remove chicken from skewers; add to sauce.

Simmer 5 minutes.

Garnish with cilantro Serve with basmati rice, naan or pita bread.

If the chicken tikka masala sauce tastes sour, add sugar to taste.

Note: You can make your own garam masala.
