Adjust Servings:
1 Kg Ladies fingers / Bhindi / Okra
1 No Onion Large sized ,chopped
2 No Tomato Medium sized ,chopped
0.5 Tablespoon Ginger Paste
0.5 Tablespoon Garlic Paste
1 Teaspoon Cumin Seed / Jeera
1 Teaspoon Chilli powder You can add little more or less as of spice need
2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
1Teaspoon Garam Masala
0.25 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
To taste Salt
2 Tablespoon Oil As of need
2.5 Cup Water

Bhindi curry is made by adding a little gravy to the traditional bhindi dish. Learn how to make Indian bhindi curry. This a simple Indian okra curry recipe. Bhindi curry can be served with chapati,roti or rice.

Note :
If possible, wash the bhindi in advance and dry it at least 1-hours before making the recipe to remove excess moisture.

Wash and dry bhindi.Cut them in two halves

Onion chopped for curry.

Tomato finely chopped

Heat the 2 tbsp oil in a pan, wok or kadai.Add the chopped Onion and and fry till golden brown.

Add cumin seeds to it and let it splutter.

Add ginger garlic paste.Fry till they are golden brown.

Now add chopped tomatoes,turmeric powder,red chilly powder, coriander powder and mix well.Let it cook till the oil separates.

Add little water and let it simmer.

Now add the cut bhindi,salt and garam masala and cook till bhindi is done.If required add little more water .

Serve hot with chapati,roti or rice.
